 Eileen Erikson is a wife, a mother and now a grandmother. She is also a nurse and an author. She published her first book, THE PATIENTS OF A SAINT, A NURSE’S STORY, in 2003 and was a contributor to NURSING THE SPIRIT, a text book for Nursing students. As a nurse for 35 years she is now inspired by her four grandchildren to write a children’s book for each of them. KAMILLE’S BIRTHDAY CIRCUS, published in 2008 with High-Pitched Hum Publishing and UP IN NATHANAEL’S ROOM, published in 2009 with Authorhouse are well accepted by children of all ages, now her grandson, Connor has his very own story, CONNOR’S FIRST SAFARI. His baby brother, Collin will soon have his story to tell.

Judie Holmes Knudtson grew up in the small town of Brunswick, Missouri, in a time and place before legal help was available for children of abusive parents. Due to another tragedy she suffered hearing loss in her teen years, which left her ill-equipped to face the future. After graduating with the class of 1960 she forged ahead to mold a positive life for herself in Jacksonville, Florida.   

After enduring several decades of pain and anguish in survival of the childhood abuses, life changed for Judie when she saw the face of God, and from that point her life took another direction.

Judie has enjoyed travel to all 50 states and several countries.  Her passion for writing unfolded in later years, with creative writing, poems and songs.  Her thirst for writing book length features has been whetted with the writing of this book.

A.E. Derban is a native New Yorker who has worked her way to
Southern living in Jacksonville, Florida. Derban is an alumnus of both
Regent University (Virginia Beach,VA) and The Shaw University
(Raleigh, NC). She continues her life calling as an educator in urban
schools while sharing her stories with the world.
